Good read…

I came home the other day and my girlfriend says to me, “you got an issue of GQ in the mail today and Justin Timberlake is on the cover. He looks good in that suit.” She never says anything like that. I think that might be the reason why I picked it up and started thumbing through it after a quick ESPN check in. Don’t get me wrong, I would have gotten around to it but with an intro like that, it made it thumb-through worthy immediately.

As we approach the spring season, magazines begin their fashion and beauty trend stories. This is a good time to check in if you’re curious about new fragrance launches and the latest botanical break throughs. GQ’s March issue dedicates a page, edited by Chandler Burr, to answering some general fragrance questions and pointing out a stock list for the well-groomed man’s “scent wardrobe.” What particularly peaked my interest was the “Where And How To Apply” instructional piece. It’s exactly how I put on my smell good, some of the time, and I couldn’t have said it any better. One thing I’d like to point out though is if a fragrance has a strong opening, I cut that application in half. No need to be smelt on approach. It’s common sense if you ask me but there are a lot of men still putting on WAY TO MUCH cologne. With that said, pick up the March issue and learn a little something. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, go out and sample the brands he mentions and judge for yourself if they’re worthy of receiving rotation in your scent line-up.
